Iconic UK landscapes including Stonehenge, Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge, and Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland, have been recreated in these striking sculptures – made entirely from food.

Ingredients such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, as well as soup, yoghurt, butter, and even blocks of cheese, were made to create the four “tasteful” works of art – and all ingredients were organic. It comes as a poll of 2,000 adults found that four in ten (41%) enjoy food more knowing that it has been produced organically – and the same number like to know where their ingredients come from.

The research was commissioned by Yeo Valley Organic, which teamed up with renowned Welsh artist Nathan Wyburn, and provided 67kg of fresh produce for him to create the edible exhibits. The artist, who uses non-traditional items such as foods and other household items to create his works, spent 48 hours carefully sculpting the mouthwatering designs, with the help of Yeo Valley Organic chef, Ali Pumfrey.

And the gallery was unveiled to mark the end of the harvest season, and celebrate the importance of great taste and food provenance. Nathan said: “I like to bring people closer to the natural world through my work, and relished the opportunity to take up this unique challenge.

“I used to visit the Avon Gorge as a child and was always in awe of the amazing natural landscape, so it was a really fun process thinking about how I could bring that to life through local products.”

Nathan crafted the iconic Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge using a colourful kaleidoscope of organic produce including strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. These were complimented with beetroot and broccoli, with added layers of texture from crisp leeks and crunchy kale.

Meanwhile, an atmospheric scene of the Ribblehead Viaduct was brought to life in a radiant organic tapestry, using a base of cream of vegetable soup, layered with cabbage, spiralised courgette, finely sliced mint, and thyme. Carrot, parsnip, and thyme soup were also used to carve a striking sunset below the horizon at Giants Causeway – along with curled butter, grated mature cheddar cheese, and peeled potatoes, to sculpt a striking display of colours and flavours.
